Biography of Courtney Jaye | |||
|
Courtney Jaye is an American singer. She is a perfectionist to the core, who constantly refines and develops her musical styles and capabilities.
Courtney Jaye was born on November 1, 1980 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. She spent her early years in Atlanta and here she discovered her musical talent by writing her first song, "The Grateful Dead" spurred by her friend's death. Upon graduation from high school, Courtney Jaye moved to Flagstaff, Arizona, where she worked as an acupuncturist and later joined her first band. When Courtney Jaye left for Kauai, Hawaii for a one month short visit, she eventually stayed there for a year writing songs, surfing and soaking in up the Island's musical styles. Not satisfied, she again left for Athens, Georgia, to continue to refine her musical styles. While in Athens she fell in love and this relationship took her to Austin, Texas. Sadly the relationship ended there with difficult times engulfing her personally, but this experience had given her rich material for her song-writings. |
